Explore the joy of flowers and learn about the Ikebana history and technique in this workshop led by Liza Langen. We have been collaborating with Yuko Ono in her own space for many years, and are happy to host this workshop in our new Slow Practice Room upstairs on Nackagatan 5.
What to expect
  • Learn about the history of Ikebana: its origin, main principles and philosophy behind
  • Hands-on guidance from Liza who will showcase several main methods and principles how to build an Ikebana
  • You'll try your hand at a basic composition, emphasising lines, space and shape. We encourage you to try a few times
  • Only seasonal flowers, carefully selected for you
  • Taste a few types of Japanese teas and get a glance into the art of growing and drinking tea
  • We will help to carefully wrap your flowers to take home
  • A meditative, grounding moment: you will leave more centered, inspired and connected to nature
  • The workshop is taught in English
  • Duration: 2 hours
